أنا والحبيب ومن يلوم ثلاثةٌ

لهم بديع الحب أصبح ينتمي

The lover and I and he who blame - we three belong,

To the wondrous love we wake to in the morn.

فلي الجناس لأن دمعي عن دمي

يجري ألست تراه مثل العندم

Mine is the wordplay - for my tears and blood

Flow as one - do you not see them both pour on?

وله مطابقة التواصل بالقلا

ولعاذليه لزوم ما لم يلزم

And his - correspondence through the heart's communion.

As for my critic - binding what need not bind.
