I donned the slenderness of the thin branch,

And melted away except for a mere shadow in weakness.

With my Bedouin beauty and meanings,

And my forgetfulness of affectation and intimacy.

In each limb he has the frailty of drifting sand,

Heavy of body, with a light spirit.

Do I love one emaciated without having loved him?

Except that I am the brother of delicate creation.

When my palm touched him, it touched

Nothing but skin on thin bone.
