1. ومُدامةٍ لا يبتغي من رَبِّهِ

    أَحَدٌ حَباهُ بها لديه مزيدا

    With wine so pure that none would seek

    More from his Lord once he's partaken

  2. في كأسها صُوَرٌ تُظَنُّ لحسنها

    عُرُباً برزنَ من الجنانِ وغيدا

    In her glass are forms so fair, you'd think

    Houries had come from Heaven's garden

  3. وإذا المزاج أثارها فتقسَّمَت

    ذَهَباً ودُرّاً تَوأماً وفريدا

    When she is stirred and starts to foam

    She turns to liquid gold and pearls

  4. فكأنَّهُنَّ لَبِسنَ ذاكَ مجاسداً

    وجَعَلنَ ذا لنحورهِنَّ عقودا

    As though the maidens had put on gowns

    And hung those pearls around their curls
