وغادة زاد فيها اللّحظ تكريرا

قد يضيف إلى التأنيث تذكيرا

And Ghada, in her the glance increases repetition

It may add masculinity to femininity

لها على الرأس إكليل يحيط به

أو جمة قص أعلاها شَوابيرا

She has on her head a crown surrounding

Or a tucked braid, clipped at the top to be bangs

كأنها قبة من فوقها شرف

جوفاء قسمها الباني مَقاصيرا
