Drowning in sins, captive of transgressions
Awaken, for this world is the mother of worlds
She deceives and gives but takes back her gifts
Troubling, she reclaims what she once presented
And each day she secretly inflicts upon you
An illness, so your body falls prey to calamities
Has she not cautioned you with her events?
And what she did to all of mankind
You see man held prisoner by his worries
Imprisoned by anxieties, a heap of calamities
She releases him only when she mourns for him
It suffices you to encounter death
O traveler intending to stay
Take provisions, for the nights are steeds
