للغزو نشاطي وإليه طرَبي

ما لي في العيش غيرَهُ من أَرَب

My vigor is for conquest, and to it my delight,

I have in life no interest but this to excite,

بالجدِّ وبالجهاد نُجحُ الطلّب

والرَّاحةُ مستودعةُ في التّعَب

By striving and holy war the seeker finds his plight,

And rest is housed in exhaustion, that is right.
