الروض بحسن ورده منفرد

والطير على العود مغن غرد

The garden in the beauty of its lone rose

And the birds on the branch singing and trilling

والجدول في انسيابه مطرد

هذا ورد السرور لمْ لاتَرد

And the stream in its steady flowing

This is the rose of joy - why reject it?
