تلكَ الجنانُ قطوفهنَّ دَوانِ
تَشدو حَمائمُها على الأغصانِ
Those gardens, their fruits are verse collections
Their doves singing on the branches
أم صُدغُ مَعشوقٍ تَصَوْلَجَ مسكُهُ
من وردِ وَجنَتهِ على ميدانِ
Or the cheek of a beloved, its musk exhaling
From his roses and garden into the field
أم روضةٌ بيدِ السحابِ مَروضةٌ
لنسيمها لَعِبٌ بغُصنِ البانِ
Or a meadow, tended by the hand of clouds
Its breeze playing with the twigs of frankincense
أم شعرُ أظرفِ مَن مَشى فوق الثّرى ال
