1. الصادِقية حسنها بهر الوَرى

    فَأجَل لحاظكَ مُعجبا وَمُفكِّرا

    Truthfulness, its beauty dazzled the roses

    So your glance is admired and pensive

  2. وَاِنظر إِلى هِمَم المُلوك وَفَضلَها

    كَم قَد أَفاضَت مِن سَماحٍ قَد جَرى

    And look at the ambitions of kings and their virtues

    How much they have poured from generosity that flowed

  3. وَتَرَوِّ في قانونه وَفُصُوله

    تُلفيه قَد أَهدى النضارَ لِمَن قَرا

    And browse in its constitution and chapters

    It presents the freshness for those who read

  4. لِلَّهِ مُنشيها وَناظِمُ عقدِها

    دُرّا نَفيساً في الرِقاب وَجَوهَرا

    For God its editor and compiler of its nodes

    A precious pearl in necks and essence

  5. أَشهى إِلى الأَسماعِ مِن نَيل المُنى

    وَأَحَب لِلأَجفان مِن سنَة الكَرى

    More pleasant to hearing than attaining wishes

    And more beloved to eyelids than the sleep of intoxication

  6. يَدعو إِلىَ ما لا حَياةَ بِدونه

    فالعِلمُ داعيَةُ البَقاء لِمَن دَرى

    It calls to what there is no life without

    So knowledge is the advocate of permanence for those who knew

  7. هَل يَستَوي مَن يَعلَمونَ وَغَيرُهُم

    شَتّانَ ما بَينَ الثَرَيّا وَالثَرى

    Are those who know equal to those who do not?

    Far apart is what is between fertile land and barren soil

  8. هُبّوا بَني الخَضراء واِنتَبِهو إِلىَ

    ما هوَ في الدارَين أَربَحُ مَتجَرا

    Come on young greens and pay attention to

    What is most profitable trade in the two abodes

  9. وَخُذوا المَعارِفَ وَالعُلومَ بِقوَةٍ

    تُنسيكُم بُقراط وَالإِسكنَدَرا

    And take knowledge and science strongly

    It makes you forget Hippocrates and Alexander

  10. وَتَسابَقوا لِفَضيلَةٍ جاءَتكُمُ

    حاشاكُمُ أَن تَنبُذوها بالعرا

    And compete for a virtue that has come to you

    Far it is from you to discard it disgracefully

  11. أَغنَت عَلى خَوض البِحار وَغُربَة

    وَمَشَقَّة تَذَرُ الفَتى مُتَحَيِّراً

    It sufficed you having to traverse the seas and estrangement

    And hardship that leaves the young man perplexed

  12. فُزتُم بِنَيل القَصد في أَوطانَكُم

    فَمَن الَّذي مِن بَعد ذا أَن يُعذَرا

    You have succeeded in achieving the goal in your homelands

    So who after that can be excused?

  13. هَل غَيرَةٌ وَحَميَّةٌ لِبلادكُم

    فالجارُ أَصبَحَ عالِماً مُتَحَضِّراً

    Is it jealousy and zeal for your countries?

    So the neighbor has become a civilized scholar

  14. ذا هِمَّةٍ عُليا فَلَسنا دونَهُ

    بَل جَدّ في التَحصيل حَتّى أَبصَرا

    With high ambition, so we are not less than him

    But strive in gaining knowledge until you see

  15. هَل هَزَّةٌ مِن عالِمٍ فَيَبُثّ ما

    يُغني وَيُقني صابِراً وَمُكَررا

    Is there a shake from a scholar who explains what

    Suffices, convinces, patiently and repeatedly?

  16. وَليُخلِصِ الكُلّ الدعاءَ لِسَيِّد

    غَرَسَ العُلا وَسَقاهُ حَتّى أَثمَرا

    And may everyone pray sincerely for the Master

    Who planted knowledge and irrigated it until it bore fruit

  17. الصادِقُ الباش المُشير مُحَمَّد

    مَن فَخرِهِ في العالَمينَ تَقَرّرا

    The truthful counselor Muhammad

    Whose pride in both worlds became affirmed

  18. لا زالَ في حَرزِ الإِلَه وَعِزّهِ

    وَوَزيره مَن قَد أَعانَ وَدَبَّرا

    He still remains in God’s protection and glory

    And his minister who helped and planned

  19. ما قالَ ذو التاريخ قاصِدَ مَنهَجٍ

    الصادِقيةُ حُسنُها بَهَرَ الوَرى

    Not what the historian said with pure intention
