Stricken with sleeplessness, he dispelled drowsiness from the plains of his eyelids,
So he was generous with enough to entertain the lovesick lad.
He awakened those who were formerly heedless,
And perplexed those with fangs and those with teeth.
Why is there no preacher for the loss of loved ones
For those with a heart or those with ears?
Good tidings to you, O Mudhn, you who provided provisions for the journey
And increased, over your provisions, good assumptions.
Just like this resident of the grave, pleased and content,
The elderly, glorious, dignified Abu Sinn.
He was, by God, righteous and benevolent,
With a character more beautiful than the flowers on a branch.
It was as if, O may God sanctify his soul,
It migrated with it from a meadow to a meadow.
He was among the writers, a section they loved,
An honorable, ascetic, and eloquent man.
My God, accept his efforts and reward him with what
You have promised, O Most Generous and Bestower.
And make true, my God, the words of a departed chronicler,
"To the Gardens of Paradise passed Abu Sinn."
