The lights of dawn have risen over Egypt,

And the night has changed its darkness into day.

Behold and see, for mankind a radiant morn,

As Hussein resumes his blessed way.

Egypt, the cherished goal, exclaims with joy

At his welcome and gracious stay:

"Welcome, O brightest star and dearest pride,

Your coming brings us happiness today."

The eyes of reverent men are gladdened now

As signs of glory they display.

Long have we raised our hands beseeching

For this return at break of day.

Our land is honored with its noblest gift,

Exalting it o’er lands that stray.

And now with him the moon of gladness shines,

Let Egypt boast o’er all that stray!
