قَد ضاعَ عُمري في تَشمت عَذلي

وَالصَبرُ فارَقَني وَجِسمي قَد بَلى

My life has passed in enduring blame,

Patience has left me and my body is worn out.

هَل في الهَوى حُكم فَأَشكو حالَهُ

اِن صادَفَت عَدلا يَتم الحُكم لي

Is there any justice in love that I may complain of its state?

If I find justice, judgment will be complete for me.
