قالَت لَقيتَ الَّذي لَم يَلقَهُ أَحَدٌ

قُلتُ الدَليلُ عَلى ذاكَ الَّذي أَجِدُ

She said, "You met the one no one has met before"

I said, "The proof of that is what I feel"

أودَعتني سَقماً لا أَستَقِلُّ بِهِ

فَلَيسَ يَنفَدُ حَتّى يَنفَدَ الأَبَدُ

She left me with an illness I cannot bear

So it will not run out until eternity runs out
