رَكِبتُ الصِبا حَتّى إِذا ما وَنى الصِبا

نَزَلتُ مِنَ التَقوى بِأَكرَمِ مَنزِلِ

I rode my youth until when my youth declined

I dismounted in piety, at the noblest abode

وَدينُ الفَتى بَينَ التَنَسُّكِ وَالنُّهى

وَدُنيا الفَتى بَينَ الصِبا وَالتَغَزُّلِ

The religion of a young man is between asceticism and prohibition

And the world of a young man is between youthfulness and infatuation
