1. لبيك لبيك في هذي المروآتِ

    أنت الأحق بتكريم وطاعاتِ

    I am here, I am here in these mirrors

    You are the most deserving of honor and obedience

  2. أبلغ بها دعوةً ضج العباد لها

    يستعجلون الأمانيَّ القصيّات

    Convey through it a call that the servants clamored for

    They hasten far-fetched wishes

  3. والتفّ حولك أهل المال واجتمعوا

    تنافساً في الهبات الحاتميات

    And the people of money gathered around you

    Competing in generous Hatim-like donations

  4. فمن رأى مرة ما أنت مكتتبٌ

    به تطوع للإحسان مرات

    So whoever saw you once subscribed

    To volunteering for charity repeatedly

  5. أمانة للعلى أصبحت تحملها

    وأنت أكرم من أدى الأمانات

    You became an honest trustee carrying a trust of the Most High

    And you are more generous than those who fulfilled trusts

  6. ومصر تأخذ منها وهي زائدة

    كأنما هي كنز في السماوات

    And Egypt takes from it while it is surplus

    As if it were a treasure in the heavens

  7. آن اهتمامك بالأوطان تسعدها

    فإنما كل مقدار لميقات

    Now your concern for the homelands makes them happy

    For every measure has an appointed time

  8. عزائم علويات نهضت بها

    فلا تريد وقوفاً عند غايات

    Sublime resolutions you rose with

    So you do not want to stop at limits

  9. حسب الرعية تذكاراً لجدك أن

    يروا ثباتك في هذي المجالات

    It is enough for the people to remember your grandfather

    To see your stability in these areas

  10. يجني على مصر من ينسى نصيحتها

    وفضل أهلك في ماض وفي آت

    Whoever forgets its advice and

    The grace of your family in the past and future harms Egypt

  11. فلم تقم عن بنيها بالجميل لها

    إلا لتنسيَها تلك الجنايات

    For it did not stand by its children with kindness

    Except to make it forget those crimes

  12. إن الألى عمر البلدانَ جدُّهمُ

    هم الأحق عليها بالإمارات

    Verily those who sustained the life of countries are their grandfathers

    They are most deserving to rule them

  13. إن يتركوا إرثهم للحادثات سدى

    فمن له بعد أرباب الكفالات

    If they leave their inheritance to vain events

    Then who will be guarantors after the guardians

  14. وإن أضاعوا حقوقاً لا تكلفهم

    غير التقاضي فما ذكرى الفتوحات

    And if they forfeit rights that do not cost them

    Anything other than litigation, what is the memory of the conquests

  15. مهد لمصر سعيد الملك مسلكها

    حذار كل عنيد معتدٍ عات

    Saied, the King, paved the way for Egypt

    Beware every stubborn transgressor

  16. فإن أجر الذي يسعى لينقذها

    لأجر من حال بين الذئب والشاة

    For the reward of one who strives to save it

    Is the reward of one who came between the wolf and sheep

  17. ومن صوابك إعداد الرجال لها

    بالعلم قبل القنا والمشرفيات

    And it is wise of you to prepare men for it

    With knowledge before cannons and terraces

  18. والاعتماد على أبطال تجربة

    قبل اعتماد على أبطال غارات

    And rely on seasoned warriors

    Before relying on warriors of raids

  19. فأرسلن كل عامٍ عشرة نجباً

    منها يعودوا بآلاف الرئاسات

    So send ten prominent ones every year

    Who will come back with thousands of presidencies

  20. أو ابنِ كليةً في مصرَ جامعةً

    شتى الفنون وأنواعَ الصناعات

    Or build a university college in Egypt

    Of various arts and types of industries

  21. إن لم تَسُدْ مصرُ في هذا الزمان فلا

    سادَ الزمان بأمصارٍ ودولات

    If Egypt in this time does not prevail

    No era prevailed with metropolises and states

  22. هل كنت بين بني أمس فأذكره

    أم لست أشعر في يومي بلوعات

    Were you one of yesterday's sons and remember him

    Or do I not feel agony in my day?

  23. وهل أكلِّفُ نفسي ضدَّ عادتها

    إني أخاف على قلبي المسرات

    Should I task myself against my habit?

    I fear pleasures for my heart

  24. وبي نوازع ملءَ الأرض أُكبِرُها

    عن أن أناجي بها لولا ضروراتي

    And in me are motives bigger than filling the earth

    Too important that I complain about them except for my need

  25. أعلنتُها قاصفاتٍ كالرعود فلم

    أظفر بسمع كريمٍ ذي مؤاساة

    I declared them like loud thunder but did not

    Find a hearing of merciful consolation

  26. هل أرفع العتبَ عن دهري ولست أرى

    شعار أحراره إلا الشكايات

    Shall I lift indignation from my time and I do not see

    Its slogan of free men other than complaints?

  27. إن البلاد بلا استقلال صاحبها

    قفر لديه وإن أصبحن جنات

    Countries without independence, their companion

    Is desertion, even if gardens in the morning

  28. فإن تعد حرَّةً مصرٌ لصاحبها

    حق القيام بهذي المهرجانات

    So if Egypt becomes free for its companion

    For the sake of these festivals

  29. إني أعلل نفسي بانتظار غدٍ

    مستبقياً لغدٍ بعض الحشاشات

    I justify myself with awaiting a tomorrow

    Reserving for tomorrow some assumptions

  30. لعل للنيل من تذكار غابره

    بما يرجِّيه في الآتي بشارات

    Perhaps the Nile has from its past a reminder

    With glad tidings for what is to come of good news

  31. إني لأرجئُ أعيادي وحينئذٍ

    ترى البلاد مصابيحي وراياتي

    I postpone my celebrations, and then

    You will see, my country, my lights and banners
