يا رجال البلاد من كل حزب

أين من تفزع البلاد إليهِ

O men of the country, of every party

Where is the one to whom the country turns

اتفاقاً على الخضوع يريد ال

خصم منكم أو اختلافاً عليه

In agreement to obey, he wants not

An opponent among you or disagreement over him

أنتمُ بين سخطه ورضاه

وله حجتاه في خطتيه

You are between his wrath and pleasure

And he has his proof in his two plans

لا يقل واحد أنا الواحد الأد

نى إليه وإن قضى حاجتيه

Let no one say I am the only one, the lowliest

To him, even if he fulfills his two needs

وليعد كل واحد منكم بع

د تجاريبكم إلى أخويه

And let each one of you, after

Your experiences, return to his brother

إنما الشمل عدتان لمن أخ

لى يديه الزمانُ من عدتيه

Cohesion is only strength for one whose hands

Time has stripped of his two weapons
