1. يقين البلاد وإيمانَها

    ملكتَ فأيَّدت سلطانَها

    The faith of the country and its certainty

    You have taken possession and supported its authority

  2. بنيت لها الدار ميمونة

    وقد جئت تختار سكانها

    You built it an auspicious house

    And you have come to choose its inhabitants

  3. معزاً كراسيها بعد ما

    جعلت الكفايات أثمانها

    Honoring its thrones after

    You made competencies their prices

  4. وآثرت للأمة المصلحين

    يقيمون في الأرض ميزانها

    And you preferred for the nation the reformers

    Who establish justice in the land and its scales

  5. وبلغك الملك المفتدى

    برضوانه عنك رضوانها

    And the desired kingship has reached you

    With his satisfaction with you and his satisfaction with it

  6. وسرت برحلته في الصعيد

    تبشر مصر وسودانها

    And you traveled on his trip in Upper Egypt

    Bringing good tidings to Egypt and its Sudan

  7. وزاد المطاف بتلك البقا

    عِ رغد البقاع وعمرانها

    And the pilgrimage to that remaining life

    Increased the prosperity of its lands and its population

  8. فإن أعجبته احتفالاتها

    فقد نالها منك ما زانها

    So if its celebrations have pleased him

    It has gotten from you what adorned it

  9. ضمنت لحزبك في الدولة ال

    مآل وعالجت غضبانها

    You have secured for your party in the state

    An outcome and treated its anger

  10. خلت يده في مقاليدها

    فعاد عدواً لمن صانها

    You left your hand on its reins

    So it became an enemy to whoever protected it

  11. أمانة قومك أديتها

    وجاء يصدُّك من خانها

    You have fulfilled the trust of your people

    And someone comes to stop you, who betrayed it

  12. وما يستطيع عصى أو أطاع

    زيادة حال ونقصانها

    Powerless are obedience or disobedience

    To increase its condition or decrease it

  13. فما للعشيرة بعد الودا

    د باتت تقاطع إخوانها

    What is left for the clan after love

    Spent the night severing its brothers

  14. وعاتبتها وهي تشكو إلى

    عداها جواها وأشجانها

    You blamed it while it complained

    To its enemies, its passion and its sorrows

  15. وتأسى على الأمر وهي التي

    أرادت من الأمر حرمانها

    And you sympathized with the matter while it

    Wanted to deprive it of the matter

  16. ومن عجب أن تهون النسور

    فتتبع في مصر غربانها

    How strange that eagles belittle themselves

    Then follow the crows in its Egypt

  17. ويلقى المساءة من لم يسئ

    فيسألها اليوم غفرانها

    And the blame is received by who did not wrong

    So it asks him today for its forgiveness

  18. وينسى الذي عده أمسه

    عليها ويطلب نسيانها

    And forgets who considered him yesterday

    Against it and seeks its oblivion

  19. وأنت القدير على شيعة

    تزيد أناتُك عدوانها

    While you are capable against supporters

    Whose aggression your patience increases

  20. وتحصي عليك خطوب الزمان

    وإن لقيت منك معوانها

    And count upon you the tribulations of time

    Even if you found its help from it

  21. تولت بقربانها للغريم

    نفاقاً فلم يرض قربانها

    It turned with its offerings to the enemy

    Hypocritically, so he was not pleased with its offering

  22. ولما صبرت على شيبها

    مضوا بك يغرون شبانها

    And when you were patient with its old age

    They went against you, seducing its youth

  23. فإن ذهب اليوم ميدانها

    فقد خسرت أمس فرسانها

    So if its arena is lost today

    It had lost its horsemen yesterday

  24. ولم يبق إلا أراجيفها

    تفسر للناس أضغانها

    And nothing remains but its rumors

    Explaining its songs to people

  25. وما هي إلا ذئاب البلا

    د صارت ببأسك قطعانها

    It is nothing but the wolves of the country

    Who became, by your might, its herds

  26. وما أنت إلا رسول الزمان

    إلى مصر تهدم أوثانها

    You are nothing but the messenger of time

    To Egypt, destroying its idols

  27. غزوت عقائدها فانثنت

    إليك وغيرت أذهانها

    You conquered its beliefs so it inclined

    To you and changed its minds

  28. وأكبر من فاتح الحصن من

    يعيد إلى النفس وجدانها

    And greater than the conqueror of a fortress is he

    Who restores to the soul its creed

  29. ولا بد للرهط من رجعة

    إليك وإن خاف إعلانها

    The gang must return

    To you, even if it fears its declaration

  30. حكمت وللحكم شجعانه

    كما أن للحرب شجعانها

    You ruled, and ruling has its brave

    As war has its brave

  31. وألزمت عهدك في الأمتي

    نِ عدل السماء وإحسانها

    And you obliged your covenant to the two nations

    The justice of heaven and its benevolence

  32. سترسو السفينة معتزة

    وقد حمد الركب ربانها

    The ship will dock proudly

    And the crew has praised its captain

  33. وإن القضية موكولةٌ

    لمن ملك اليوم برهانها

    And the case is entrusted

    To whom owns today its proof
