My heart's beloveds, remember a promise made by one with obligations

Who shows passion for you at times and hides it at others

Who reads the mail and knows of every event

In the West and East, both near and far

And has never found a day with news of you

So he falters as the flames of longing scorch him

Connect with a youth who, if abandoned by all people,

For your ways suffice him independent of all people's affairs
