بعد الخميس تماما

Thirty days have passed

After Thursday completely

وما وفيت بوعد

وما رعيت زماما

And you did not fulfill your promise

Nor did you restrain the reins

إلامَ أدعوك عوني

ولا تجيب إلاما

Why do I call upon you for help

And you do not respond at all

وأين تنجز أمراً

وكيف تقضي مراما

And where do you accomplish something

And how do you fulfill your purpose

إن كان يومك شهراً

وكان شهرك عاما

If your day were a month

And your month were a year

خالفت بالخلف عندي

يا ابن الكرام الكراما

You would have disappointed me with your failure

O son of the most generous people
