لشيقون إلى الآثار والصور

Those who received news of you

Will yearn for relics and images

ألقوا قضية مصر في محافلهم

ينصفكمُ كل ذي سمع وذي بصر

Present Egypt's case in their circles

Every hearing and seeing person will judge you fairly

إن البراهين في أيد وألسنة

أقوى من الناب للضرغام والظفر

The proofs are in stronger hands and tongues

Than fangs for the snarling and clawing

سيحمل الخبرَ البرق البشير وفي

سرائر القوم ما يغني عن الخبر

The herald lightning will carry the news

And in people's hearts is what makes news unnecessary

فكم دعوا ولهم إيقان مصطبر

فأصبحوا ولهم إيقان منتظر

How many appealed, steadfastly hopeful

And awoke still waiting steadfastly

إن الذي عاش في واديه يعمره

أحق بالظل في واديه والثمر
