ترعاه مصر في سماء جلالها
Of its redeemer prince, the star
Guarded by Egypt in the sky of its glory
في كل ناد مهرجان حافل
بولائها ومظاهر استدلالها
In every club there is a crowded festival
Of its loyalty and proofs of its reasoning
فاروق باللقب المقدس جئتها
في عز رايتها وسعد هلالها
O Farouk, with the sacred title you came
When its flag was flying proudly and its crescent was fortunate
ترجو وترقب منك في أرجائها
ما خلَّد الماضون من أبطالها

معتزها زاهي ومن مختالها

فياحة بالتهنئات قصوره
وحياضه فياضة بنوالها
His palaces overflowing with congratulations
And its courtyards overflowing with its gifts
شملت مراحمه السجين سماحة
وكرامة لك والغريب الوالها
His compassion included the imprisoned with nobility
And generosity for you and the estranged with care
والسلم تحت روائه والشعب في
أمتاعه بظلاله وظلالها
And peace is under its banners and the people in
Its possessions under its shades and their shades
ولدت لأمته بمولدك المنى
ورأت أريكته عظيم منالها
You were born for its nation with your desired birth
And its platform saw your great achievements
فعلى منابرها سلام حصونها
وعلى مآذنها هتاف جبالها
On its pulpits, greetings to its fortresses
And on its minarets, the chanting of its mountains
برت بمصر أبوة لك سمحة
في بدئها وإليك حسن مآلها
Egypt shone with fatherhood for you, noble
In its beginning and to you a good outcome
في بشر وجهك طلعة الآمال في
حرية الأوطان واستقلالها
In your happy face the hopes risen for
The freedom of homelands and their independence
لبني عليٍّ تاجها ولوواؤها
وهمُ ضمان كيانها وجمالها
For the Alid crown and its standard
They are the guarantee of its entity and its beauty
أهوال هذي الأرض سائرة وفي
غدك المبارك منتهى أهوالها
The horrors of this land are over, and in
Your blessed tomorrow is the end of its horrors
والناس في أخلاقهم مرضى وما
يشفيهم منها سوى استبدالها
And the people are sick in their morals, and nothing
Cures them but replacing them
وحراسة الأقدار ذاهبة بها
ما دامت الحراس من أغوالها
The guardians of fate are leaving with it
As long as the guards are from its brutes
لا تكبر الأوطان ذا مال وذا

No homelands grow great with money and status
If its deeds do not remain from its workers
للعادل المقضي من أحكامها
والطائل المحدود من آجالها
For the just arbiter of its rulings
And the taker of its predetermined lifetimes
فاحفظ مكارم مصر في جاراتها
واحرس مرافق مصر في أمثالها
So keep Egypt’s virtues with its neighbors
And guard Egypt’s paths in its examples
