جدد لمصر شبابها المأمولا
وأعد لها أفراح إسماعيلا
Renew the youth of Egypt, the hoped for
And prepare for it the joys of Ismail
وأَرِحْ بيمن المهرجان وسعده
قلباً بكل عظيمة مشغولا
And comfort with the right hand of the festival and its bliss
A heart busy with every great thing
وتَلَقَّ من دار الخلافة شاكراً
وفداً يحيّي عرشك المحمولا
And receive gratefully from the abode of the caliphate
An envoy who congratulates your carried throne
مستقبلاً من كل إقليم له
بالتهنئات الغاليات رسولا
Welcoming from every territory for it
With the precious congratulations messengers
زلفى يقر بها العباد وموسم
عال تقدمه الربيع جزيلا
Intimacies which the servants acknowledge and a season
High which spring presents plentiful
عرس الإمارة عرس مصر وأهلها
والنيل إذ جارى نداك النيلا
The wedding of the emirate is Egypt's wedding and its people's
And the Nile when your Nile flowed
فرح العزيز ببنته مجلوة
فرح البلاد برغدها موصولا
The joy of the dear one with her daughter adorned
The joy of the countries with its prosperity linked
اللّه زان كرائماً أنجبتها
بالصالحات فزادها تجميلا
God adorned generosities He created
With the righteous so He increased its beauty
الكابرات مخايلاً وشمائلاً
والطاهرات منابتاً وأصولا
The dignified, the glances and the features
And the pure, the buds and the roots
خير البنات أبوَّةً وأمومةً
خير النساء بنوة وبعولا
The best of daughters in fatherhood and motherhood
The best of women in daughterhood and spousehood
أهدى الأمير إلى فروقَ نبيلةً
منه وأهدى الصدرُ مصرَ نبيلا
The prince gifted to prominent lineages a noble one from him
And the breast gifted Egypt a noble one
عقدوا على النعمى لنائلها ضحىً
وأتت بموكبها إليه أصيلا
They contracted on the blessing for its obtainer morn
And she came with her procession to it genuine
زَفُّوا الرفاء إلى الوفاء وإنما
زفوا إلى الملك الكريم بتولا
They led good fortune to loyalty though
They led the generous king a maiden
الشعب أوفد بالولاء سراتَه
واللّه أوفد بالرضى جبريلا
The people dispatched with loyalty its caravans
And God dispatched with approval Gabriel
يلقى على العَلَوِيِّة الزهراء ري
حانا ويهدي التاج والإكليلا
Who confers upon the brilliant caliphate spray
Congratulations and gifts the crown and wreath
سالت ضروب الحيِّ وهو مكبِّرٌ
زمراً تسابق للنعيم سيولا
The forms of celebration flowed and it magnifying
Groups competing for bliss torrents
يا بنت خير أبٍ وحسبك عدله
فينا على استقلال مصر دليلا
O daughter of the best father and his justice among us
On Egypt's independence is evidence
يا أخت خير أخ وإن لمصر في
غده ضميناً بالنجاة كفيلا
O sister of the best brother and Egypt has in
Its tomorrow a guarantor of salvation responsible
حياك جيش أبيك وهو مدجج
فكأنه متأهب ليصولا
Greetings oh your father's army fully equipped
As if ready to assault
غنتك في ميدانه أعلامُه
خفقاً وغنتك السيوف صليلا
His flags in its arena fluttered
Rustling and its swords clanged
إن سار هذا الركب من قصر إلى
قصر فقد أخذ القلوب سبيلا
If this band went from palace to
Palace it has taken hearts a course
ستمر بالمدن المواكب سمحة
غرّاً وتجتاز العباب ذلولا
The processions will pass through the cities gently
Proudly and cross the marshes submissively
وتؤمُّ عاصمة الخلافة نضرةً
والحصنَ حراً والخليج صقيلا
And attend the flourishing capital of the caliphate
And the fortress free and the gulf polished
يستقبلون جلالك استقبال من
يرعى لجدّك عهده المسئولا
They receive your majesty as one who
Tends to your grandfather's entrusted covenant
يتذكرون جهاده وفتوحه
وصنيعه والطيبات الأولى
Remembering his struggle, his conquests
His work and the first kind acts
متوسمين وزهر روضك بينهم
عصراً كما ترجو البلاد وجيلا
Anticipating and the blossoms of your meadow among them
An age as the country hopes and generation
لم تتركي صرحاً هنا متعالياً
إلا لتمتلكي هنالك غيلا
You left no towering edifice here
Unless to possess there a counterpart
وتجدّدي نعماً تساير أنعماً
لأبيك في تلك المواطن طولى
And renew favors accompanying favors
For your father in those enduring abodes
وفت الليالي للبلاد وإنما
وفَّى المدين غريمه الممطولا
The nights yielded to the country though
The bestower yielded his deferred one
وتدارك النصر المبين جوانحاً
كادت تثور ضغينة وغليلا
And anticipated the clear victory wings
That were about to flare up in rage and bile
وترقَّبَ السلم البهيج دعاته
والصلح عند أباته مقبولا
And awaited the splendid peace its callers
And reconciliation when stubborn is acceptable
أَرْضَيْتَ يا عباس كل موحد
وأعنت هذا المشرق المخذولا
You satisfied oh Abbas every monotheist
And aided this abandoned East
أيقظته وبعثت فيه حياته
ورفعت عبئاً عن بنيه ثقيلا
You awakened it and revived in it its life
And lifted a heavy burden off its children
لو كان في أمرائه ما فيك من
حزم لجاز مدى أخيه عجولا
If its princes had what is in you of
Resolve it would have crossed its brother's realm hastily
حسب الخليفة من صِلاتك أن يرى
لك في حماه سليلة وسليلا
It suffices the Caliph from your kinship to see
For you in its protector a descendant and offspring
بطلاً يرد إلى الخلافة مجدها
ويقود جيش الملك والأسطولا
A hero who restores its caliphate’s glory
And leads the king’s army and navy
أعلنت للقوم الأمانيَّ التي
نعمت نفوسُهُمُ بها تعليلا
You declared to the people the hopes which
Their souls delighted in justifying
وهمُ أصحُّ عقيدة من أن يروا
في مصر غيرك نائلاً ومنيلا
And they are soundest in belief than to see
In Egypt other than you attaining and filling
إن الذي هبط البلاد تعده
ضيفاً وإن طال المنى ونزيلا
Indeed he who descended upon the country count
Him a guest even if the sojourn is long
يتلو الرعيةُ في جبينك آيةً
مشروحةً لا تقبل التأويلا
The subjects recite in your forehead a verse
Clarified not accepting interpretation
لم يعلموا نجواك حتى أصبحوا
أزكى الشعوب خلائقاً وعقولا
They did not know you brought them safety until they became
The most virtuous of peoples in minds and intellects
إن أصبحوا خير القبائل مالكاً
فلأنت خير المالكين قبيلا
If they became the best of tribes owning
Then you are the best of owning clans
أمنوا الخطوب وطالما هزَّتهمُ
هزّ الجريح حسامه المفلولا
They endured misfortunes and often it shook them
The shake of the wounded his broken sword
أزلفت تهنئتي وحسبي أن أرى
حَكَماً لديك وشاهدين عدولا
I presented my congratulations and it suffices me to see
Wisdom with you and two just witnesses
يتداركون الشاعر المطبوع من
أغلاله والمخلصَ المجبولا
Who will rescue the overwhelmed poet
From his shackles and the devoted molded one
