1. شرفت بعرشك عالياً والتاجِ

    أرضٌ مقدسةٌ وشعب راجي

    You have honored your throne on high, and the crown,

    A sacred land and a hopeful people,

  2. يا صاحب العيد السعيد لأمة

    أضحت تُنادي حرة وتناجي

    O owner of the blessed Eid for the nation

    That has come to call out freely and confide

  3. ذكرت لمولدك المكرم نعمة

    في الملك ذكرى ليلة المعراج

    You recalled for your honored birth the blessing

    In the King the memory of the night of ascension

  4. آلت سفينتها إليك فسقتها

    عفَّ المقاصد آمن الأمواج

    Her ship came to you so you watered it

    Intentions relaxed, the waves calmed

  5. لك عندها ما للمنجِّي المفتدي

    من واجب عند الوفي الناجي

    For you she has what the savior redeemer has

    From a duty for the loyal savior

  6. حملت جوانحها لواءك قبلما

    حملت لواءك فخمة الأبراج

    She carried your standard on her wings before

    Your glorious standard was carried by towers

  7. الجيش والأسطول مما تبتني

    لفكاك أعناق وكشف دياجي

    The army and navy built by you

    To free necks and reveal dawns

  8. ضَمنَ المدى المأمول ما أجملت من

    سبب وما أحسنت من منهاج

    Secured the hoped-for scope of what you collected

    Of cause and what you instituted of approach

  9. ما كان قومك من طلاب رفاقهم

    بغزاة أرض أو جباة خراج

    Never were your people seekers of companions

    Invaders of land or collectors of tribute

  10. لجت عواذلهم فزادهم هوىً

    ما أكثروا في ضجة ولجاج

    Their virgins came so they increased in passion

    How much they increased in clamor and contention

  11. هل تستقر غداً هُنالِكَ عصبةٌ

    حرَّى الحشا منفوخة الأوداج

    Will a band settle there tomorrow

    Who heated the valley, swollen with hatred

  12. وتقر للوادي بكامل حقه

    في السلم بعد وقائع المهتاج

    And settle the valley its full due

    In peace after the incidents of turmoil

  13. النيل إن لم يجر فيه محرراً

    بدَّلت فيض زلاله بأجاج

    The Nile, if it does not flow freely in it

    It will change its pouring clarity into mud

  14. إن الخلافة بعضُ ما عرضت على

    مصرَ الشعوبُ بلهفةِ المحتاج

    Indeed, the caliphate is some of what

    The nations offered Egypt yearningly needy

  15. لك دعوة فوق المنابر منهمُ

    سبقت إليك شعائر الحجّاج

    For you a call above the pulpits from them

    Preceded you like pilgrim rituals

  16. ستجيء أفواجاً إليك وفودُهم

    واللّه حول مواكب الأفواج

    Droves will come to you, their delegations

    And God surrounds the processions of droves

  17. ويبايعونك بيعة الصديق في

    واديك تحت هلاله الوهّاج

    And they will pledge allegiance to you, the allegiance of al-Siddiq

    In your valley under its flaming crescent

  18. يثقون بالحرمين فيك بمالكٍ

    لأعزِّ مفتاحٍ لخير رتاج

    They trust the Two Holy Mosques in you as holder

    Of the key to the best dispensary

  19. كانت عناء للملوك وعلةً

    وغداً تمارسها بغير علاج

    It was wearisome for kings and a problem

    And tomorrow you will practice it without treatment

  20. وتردها روضاً لكل موحدٍ

    في الأرض بين مضايق وحراج

    And make it a meadow for every monotheist

    On earth, between straits and thickets

  21. وتنال ما أعيا جدودَك نيلُهُ

    وتعدُّ للإسلام خيرَ سياج

    And attain what exhausted your ancestors

    And prepare for Islam the best fence
