  1. يا خفي الغايات والأغراضِ

    هات ما كان باقياً في الوفاضِ

    O you who hides intentions and purposes

    Bring what remains in abundance

  2. عدت من بعد ما انتهى معول الهد

    م فأطلق يديك في الأنقاضِ

    You have returned after the destruction of hopes

    So free your hands in the rubble

  3. وَأَعِدْ ذاهباً وأنشئ جديداً

    واقض في الحالتين ما أنت قاضي

    And start over and create anew

    And in both states fulfill what you are ordained

  4. والذي أنت غير آخذه بال

    عنف خذه برقة المرتاضِ

    That which you don't care for

    Take gently with the hand of one who pleads

  5. قد عرضنا عليك ما نتمنى

    ورضينا بما به أنت راضي

    We have presented to you what we wish

    And we are content with what satisfies you

  6. وأردنا كما أردت سلاماً

    بعد طول الإباء والإعراضِ

    And we wanted peace

    After long refusal and aversion

  7. ورأت عينك الحمية تجري

    في الحمى جريَ نيله الفياض

    Your eye has seen zeal flowing

    In the sanctuary flowing like a Nile in flood

  8. وسمعت الهُتاف في الجو يدوي

    من قصور منيفة ورياض

    And you have heard cheers loudly echoing

    From the palaces of Minifa and gardens

  9. ذهب الدهر بين أخذ ورد

    واجتماع لمغرمٍ وانفضاض

    Time has passed between taking and giving back

    And gathering of a lover and dispersing

  10. وبلونا من ذلك الثمر المر

    رِ وعفنا شراب تلك الحياض

    And we have tasted the bitter fruit

    And drank the poison of those meadows

  11. ومشت بيننا الخصومة في الدس

    تور حتى طغت على الأعراض

    And enmity walked amongst us in constitutions

    Until it dominated dignities

  12. لم يدم في جديده الضيِّق الحك

    م ولا في قديمه الفضفاض

    The new governance did not last in its narrowness

    Nor the old in its vagueness

  13. ولكل نصيبه من نقيضي

    ن ارتفاعٍ كما ترى وانخفاض

    And for each is a share of contrast

    Elevation as you see and abasement

  14. والفريقان بين يوم انبساطٍ

    في مداريهما ويوم انقباض

    And the two sides between a day of expansion

    In their orbits and a day of contraction

  15. آن أن نعرف الحقيقة من بع

    د احتمال أطلته وافتراض

    It's time we recognize the truth after

    Bearing assumptions that prolonged

  16. والأراجيف رائحات غواد

    في ميادينها الطوال العراض

    And illusions are scents of calamities

    In their long bare fields

  17. قد عرفت الهوى فلا تلتمسه

    بعد هذا من النواحي البغاض

    You have recognized passion so do not seek it

    After this from the sides of haters

  18. ليس يبقى على الأعاصير عهد

    تبتنيه من القلوب المراض

    No pact remains with storms

    That my ailing heart pacts

  19. يطلب الشعب حقه وهو حتم

    غير مستبدل ولا معتاض

    The people ask for their right and it's inevitable

    Neither substituted nor refused

  20. ويرى الصلح بالفريقين أولى

    وهو ماضٍ به كما أنت ماضي

    And they see reconciliation best for both sides

    And it is going ahead as you go ahead
