Tell the mother of sons, my death is near
Weep for me, under the howdah, beneath the canopies
And don the black robes that will shroud my clothes
Above them a badge, bright like a lamp's glow
And raise for me, on the camel litter, my banner
A sign for the lost, while night's still aglow
And bury me rolled in my cloak in a hollow
Of death, where I'm safer than those down below
