ومَن لا يُوَرِّع نَفسَهُ يَتبَعِ الهَوَى

ومَن يَتبَعِ الَحرباءَ يَغشَ القَناذِعا

Who follows not his conscience is swayed by desire,

And he who chases after war, receives but paltry gain.
