هَنَّأَتنَا بك الليالي وسُرَّت

بك أعيادُ دَهرنا والشهورُ

The nights congratulated us for you, and

our eras and months rejoiced for you.

ومن العجزِ أن يُهنَّى بيومٍ

مَن بأيامِهِ تَحلَّى الدهورُ

It is beyond capability to congratulate a day

for you are the adornment of all days.

ما لِشَمسُ الضُّحَى اختصاصٌ بوقتٍ

فيه تَعلُو على الورى أو تُنيرُ

The dawn sun has no special time

when it rises above creation or illuminates.
