أفدي الذي قالَ وفي كَفِّهِ

مثلُ الذي أشرَبُ من فيهِ

I would lay down my life for the one who said, while cupping his hand:

The one I drink from is like this.

الوردُ قد أَينَعَ في وَجنتي

قُلتُ فمي باللَّثمِ يَجِنيهِ

The roses have ripened in my cheeks.

I said: My mouth will pluck them with a kiss.
