    O you whose glance,

when time looks upon it, marvels the most,

Summer has departed, yet you never cease

    to bid its travelers adieu.

Autumn has come, so greet the essence

of time and its very heart.

A time like your creation, blooming,

if your creation can be likened.

The air has softened, yet you see

no soul tending to its worries,

Serene, and if you notice its horizon,

    you'd think it was nearby.

    If it turned to wine,

    I'd never forbid its drinking.

    So enjoy its artistry,

O its quintessence and its axis!
