My she-camel went away, a stout Qalwashi she was,

Of Zubair's clan, yet she bore none their equal,

Sixty measures she bore in her saddlebags,

    Not loaded lightly, nor overburdened.

Never before saw I a Qalwashi camel bear

Sixty measures, or roam in lands so distant,

    Those settlements - no clan's settlements - I saw

Receiving guests, new abodes of comfort.
