We are destined to depart though passions seek to detain,

With Thee are gardens of ease where no disturbing cares remain.

To them is brought from Thy paradise the very breath of flowers,

While about them the abundant rain from Thy clouds that hover pours.

There every poor man may gain riches that shall endure for aye,

When longing leads his steps to seek that far and happy way.

There when the warrior brings his spoils with victory home,

The highest prize he counts is to let fall the key and come.
