سيدي يا تواب جلت ذنوبي

غرني حلمك العظيم وجهلي

My Master, O Relenting One, my sins are apparent

Your great clemency deceived me and my ignorance

سيدي يا غفور قد تبت فاغفر

وتجاوز عن قبح سوءة فعلي

My Master, O Forgiving One, I have repented so forgive

And overlook the ugliness of my wrongful deed

سيدي يا حليم عادتك الحل

م ومن عادتي اقترافي وبطلي

My Master, O Forbearing One, your habit is forbearance

While my habit is to repeat my foolishness and indolence

سيدي يا غفور أن تعف عني

فبفضل وإن تعذب بعدل

My Master, O Forgiving One, if You pardon me

Then by Your grace, and if You punish then in justice

سيدي يا رؤوف عطفاً وصفحاً

حط عني من الخطيئات ثقلي

My Master, O Compassionate One, with kindness and clemency

Remove from me the heavy burden of my sins

غافر الذنب إن غفرت ذنوبي

أنت أهل لها ولست بأهل

O Forgiver of sins, if You forgive my sins

You are worthy of it, while I am not

قابل التوب باذل العفو قد تب

ت نصوحاً من أي جد وهزل

O Acceptor of repentance, O Bestower of pardon, I have

Repented sincerely, without any jest or pretense
