1. Exalted are You, O Everlasting One, beyond all temporal bounds,

    as You were before all before, in pre-eternity.

  2. Your existence, my Lord, is necessary, subject to no endpoint

    that can be measured in times or numbers.

  3. Your abiding, O Everlasting One, subsists through itself,

    while every other abiding beneath it is bounded by an end.

  4. Through the Real, creation is sustained, while the Real stands self-subsistent,

    exalted beyond any established thing's preserving Him.

  5. The eons pass away, while the Real remains steadfast,

    as He was before all before, without end.

  6. He whose abiding is measured by the eons—

    his lasting to their utmost limit is an impossible state.

  7. What are perishing eternity and all that revolves

    within it but traces of the Everlasting One, possessed of divinity?

  8. An ancient abiding, renewed by no further continuance,

    nor brought to an end by the decrees of creation;

  9. an ancient abiding: all things perish before Him,

    while He remains without condition or ulterior purpose.

  10. By the mystery of His abiding, which endures through itself,

    come to my aid, my God, and lift my suffering and ordeal.

  11. I am Your perishing servant, whose abiding is brief;

    watch over my life, for as long as I remain, with one gracious glance.
