Sol 5.6

  1. My Lord, raise up for the children of Islam their leader,

    and turn back whoever seeks to harm them, humiliated and defeated.

  2. Grant victory to the men of guidance, and raise their prayer

    above the pillars, for as long as vegetation sprouts upon the hills.

  3. O Lord, let not a nation that has risen

    through the reign of truth dissolve through weakness or weariness.

  4. Strengthen its might with victory from You, manifesting it

    through uprightness as a sword that is never notched.

  5. It has found repose within a land whose soil is wholesome:

    it is al-Ghubayrā—Oman, a homeland grown great.

  6. How often, through the ages, has it received the investiture

    of the Imams—a necklace that adorned it, perfectly strung.

  7. O Lord, do not let the enemies fall in assault

    upon the fellowship of this faith; take vengeance upon them.

  8. And, my Lord, bestow abundance that will dispel all

    that has befallen the beloved homeland and raged within it.

  9. And appoint for us, amid the grief of loss, a steadfast one,

    as consolation—a successor to the predecessor who died.

  10. From You we hope for an answer that comes true,

    fulfilling our hopes through generosity, O You who created every living soul.

  11. May God shower a grave whose occupant was exalted

    with mercy whose abundant rain pours down in an unbroken flow.
