طنبت في الوادي المقدس خيمتي

ورعيت بين شعوبه أغنامي

I pitched my tent in the sacred valley

And grazed my sheep amongst its peoples

قل للذئاب الكاسرات تفسحي

عز الحمىّ وأعز منه الحامي

Tell the ravenous wolves to make way

The Protector of the sanctuary is mightier than the guardian

فلقد نزلت على عظيم قادر

عز الجلال إليه والأكرامِ

For I descended upon the All Powerful, All Capable

Glorious is He, and Most Generous

يقضي ولا يقضى عليه نزيله

لو كاده الثقلان غير مضامِ

He ordains without being ordained upon

Even if the two worlds conspired against His dweller

من بعد ما طردت كل مطرد

ونشبت بين أظافر الأيامِ

After driving away every driver

And taking hold of the claws of time

سترتني الأسماء في ملكوتها

فحجبت عن فهمي وعن أوهامي

The Heavens have veiled me in their kingdom

Covering my senses and imaginations

وسقتنيَ الأسرار شربة ذوقها

فعجزت عن تعبيره وكلامي

They made me drink the elixir of secrets

Leaving me at a loss for words

وذكرت من هو في الحقيقة ذاكري

وحقيقتي لا شيء وهي مقامي

And reminded me of the True Remembrancer

While my reality is nothingness, such is my station

وحقيقتي أني محوت حقيقتي

إذ ثبتها صنم من الأصنامِ

My reality is that I erased my reality

When I made it into an idol of idols

لما محوت اسمي باسم محققي

مكنت فوق رؤوسهم أقدامي

When I erased my name with the name of my Realizer

I enabled my feet above their heads

أنفقت وجداني لوحدة موجدي

وعلى سواه حقائق الاعدامِ

I spent my essence on the Oneness of my Originator

And the realities of annihilation from other than Him

وإرادتي إياه ظل إرادة

سبقت له في النقض والابرامِ

My will to Him was a will

That preceded Him in denial and affirmation
