1. My Lord, O Accepter of repentance, grievous are my sins;

    Your mighty forbearance—and my ignorance—deceived me.

  2. My Lord, O All-Forgiving, I have repented, so forgive me,

    And overlook the hideous evil of my deeds.

  3. My Lord, O Forbearing One, forbearance is ever your way—

    —while my way is transgression and vain folly.

  4. My Lord, O All-Forgiving, if You pardon me,

    It is by grace; and if You punish, it is with justice.

  5. My Lord, O Most Compassionate, show tenderness and pardon;

    Lift from me my heavy burden of sins.

  6. Forgiver of sin, if You forgive my sins,

    You are worthy of doing so, though I am not worthy of it.

  7. Accepter of repentance, Bestower of pardon, I have repented—

    —with sincere repentance—from every deed, earnest or in jest.
