  1. O Originator of all things, from nothingness into

    being, and from the unseen into the manifest realm;

  2. O Originator of unfolding creation, devising it

    without any prior model for the matter;

  3. O Originator of all that exists, as a beginning prepared

    for its return after creation has passed away;

  4. O Originator of being—not through any cause

    save Your being the free Chooser of origination;

  5. O Originator of creation, fashioning an ordered cosmos,

    wondrous and wise, bearing witness to divinity;

  6. O Originator of possibility—not from necessity,

    but for the secret of pre-eternal wisdom;

  7. O Originator, giving the created thing a radiant face

    with the light of the attributes of transcendence and necessary being;

  8. O Revealer of the mysteries from their spiritual dominion—

    brides presented as gifts to pure souls;

  9. O Bringer-forth of lights from their divine presences,

    and Originator of the gnosis of illumined minds;

  10. Holy are You! Bring my inward mysteries to life,

    and grant a light by which my uprightness may walk among the people.

  11. Bring gnosis forth in me and make it my ascent

    to You, and my solace amid the realms of my loneliness.
