    بحمدك حققني حميد الطريقة

    The worthy of praise, the requisite of thanks and eulogy

    By Your praise, make me worthy of the way

  2. حميد الفعال الفاتح الواهب المنى

    بحمدك أوقف موقف الحمد وجهتي

    The effective doer, the opener, the granter of wishes

    By Your praise, I take my stance of praise as my direction

  3. حميد الفعال المستحق لذاته

    محامده من نفسه الأزلية

    The effective doer, deserving of praise in Himself

    His praises are from His eternal Self

  4. حميد الفعال المستحق لحمدنا

    بلا مقتضى مستوجب الحامدية

    The effective doer, deserving of our praise

    Without cause, necessitating praise

  5. حميد الفعال الحامد الحق نفسه

    ومحض امتنان منه حمد الخليقة

    The effective doer, the praiser Himself in truth

    And pure favor from Him, the praise of creation

  6. حميد الفعال القائم الحمد وجهه

    غني الكمال الحق عن حمد فطرة

    The effective doer, established in praise as His essence

    Rich in perfection, beyond need of innate praise

  7. حميد الفعال المعجز الحصر حمده

    لما يقتضي مجد الصفات العلية

    The effective doer, defying encompassment of His praise

    For what necessitates the glory of the lofty attributes

  8. حميد الفعال ارفع بحمدك فاقتي

    وأحمد مقاماتي وكمل نقيصيتي

    Effective doer, raise me in Your praise beyond my incapacity

    And praise my spiritual stations and complete my deficiencies

  9. حميد الفعال اجعل شئوني حميدة

    بقبضي وبسطي عند أنسي ووحشتي

    Effective doer, make my affairs praiseworthy

    In my withholding and releasing, in my intimacy and loneliness

  10. حميد الفعال أبسط لروحي ارتياحها

    بحمدك وابسط في ثنائك بسطتي

    Effective doer, expand for my soul its comfort

    In Your praise, and expand my eulogy in Your eulogizing

  11. حميد الفعال ارحم مقامي بائساً

    لك الحمد حمداً طيباً فك عسرتي

    Effective doer, have mercy on my station in misery

    To You belongs praise, goodly praise, so relieve my difficulty
