1. ويا بر أهل البر يا محسناً على

    خليقته منا بكل مبرة

    O Kind One, most kind to His creation

    With every act of kindness

  2. تعرفت بالنعماء يا بر ظاهراً

    وباطنة في الدين والدنيوية

    You are known for your blessings, O Kind One

    Outwardly and inwardly, in faith and worldly matters

  3. ومن برك الأعمال يا بر والجزا

    ومن برك استدعاؤنا للعطية

    And the blessings of deeds, O Kind One, and reward

    And the blessings we seek when we petition

  4. ومن برك الاحسان متصلاً بمن

    يبارز بالعصيان والبطرية

    And the blessings of constant benevolence

    Towards those who rebel and act foolishly

  5. وأعظم بر بر من سبب الرضا

    وأعطى الرضا والقرب بالسببية

    The greatest kindness is to be the cause of contentment

    To grant contentment and nearness through causation

  6. والطف بر من يلاطف عبده

    ويرحمه قبل احتساب العبودة

    Tenderness is kindness to one who shows tenderness to his servant

    And has mercy before calculating servitude

  7. وأكرم بر من يوفق عبده

    ويحبو مريديه بكشف الطريقة

    And most generous is the kindness to one who enables his servant

    And brings his followers near by unveiling the way

  8. وبرك في الاعطاء والمنع كامل

    إذا كان منعاً فيه تقدير خيرة

    Blessings in giving and in withholding are complete

    If withholding contains consideration of what is best

  9. وفي نظر البر الرحيم كفاية

    لمخلوقه في منعه والعطية

    And in the kind and compassionate one's view

    Sufficiency for his creation in his withholding and giving

  10. توجهت باسم البر يا بر بائساً

    وأيقنت من بر الكريم بغنيتي

    I turned to you in the name of kindness, O Kind One

    And was certain of the bounty of the Generous One in my poverty

  11. فاسبغ علي البر يا بر شاملاً

    لعاجلتي والدين والأخروية

    So bestow upon me complete kindness, O Kind One

    For my present, faith and afterlife
