إلى كرم اللّه الكريم وجوده

أوجه آمالي وأوفد رغبتي

To the generosity of the generous Lord, His existence,

I direct my hopes and send my desire

بباب الكريم الأكرم المكرم الذي

له مطلق الاكرام أنزلت بغيتي

To the door of the most generous, most generous, most generous one who

Has absolute generosity, I lowered my want

بباب كريم الذات قدراً ورفعة

كريم الصفات الطاهرات الزكية

To the door of the generous in essence, status and elevation

Generous of pure, immaculate, righteous attributes

بباب كريم العفو عن أي مذنب

بباب كريم الجود قبل الوسيلة

To the door of the generous in pardoning any sinner

To the door of the generous in giving before being asked

بباب الكريم المطلق النفع والجدا

بباب الكريم المبتدي بالعطية

To the door of the absolute generous in benefit and seriousness

To the door of the generous who starts with granting

بباب الكريم المجزل الفيض والعطا

بدون سؤال العبد من غير منة

To the door of the generous immense in outpouring and gifts

Without the asking of the servant, without conferring favors

بباب كريم لم يقنط عصيه

بباب كريم لا يبالي بنعمة

To the door of the generous who never disappoints the disobedient

To the door of the generous who does not care about blessings

بباب كريم لم يضع متوسلاً

ولا لاجياً سبحانه بمضيعة

To the door of the generous who never let down a supplicant

Nor a hopeful, Glory to Him, in loss

بباب كريم الفعل من غير حاجة

بباب كريم جابر كل خلة

To the door of the generous in action without need

To the door of the generous mender of every breach

ببابك يا من بابه وجهة الرجا

وإن قبحت بيني وبينك سيرتي

To Your door O You whose door is the destination of hope

Even if between me and You my conduct was ugly

فاكرم مقامي بالذي أنت أهله

وما أنت أهل يا كريم لخيبتي

So honor my status with what You deserve

And You do not deserve, O generous one, my disappointment
