شتان بين سلاحهم وسلاحي
They bore their staffs, while I bear a rosary.
How vast the gulf between their weapon and mine!
ظلمو فيما انتصر الحسام لظلمهم
ولكم قصمت الجيش بالمسباح
They committed injustice, while the sword championed their oppression;
Yet how often I have shattered the army with the rosary!
