1. وَفي كُلِّ شَيءٍ حينَ تُخبِرُ أَمرَهُ

    مَعايِبَ حَتّى البَدرُ أَكلَفُ أَسفَعُ

    And in all things when you judge their case,

    Even the full moon has faults, is dark and bare.

  2. وَأَيُّ حُسامٍ لَيسَ يَنبو وَيَنثَني

    وَأَيُّ جَوادٍ لَيسَ يَكبو وَيَظلَعُ

    What sword is there that does not bend and curve?

    What steed not stumble now and then, or swerve?
