Is what I see a smiling mouth—or daisies?
Is what appears a slender figure—or a bamboo stem?
Is what you turn upon me a glance—or a saber?
Is what comes cascading down speech—or pearls?
Is what I endure longing—or a blaze?
Is what I suffer a night—or an age?
