وَالثُرَيّا لِمَفرِقِ اللَيلِ تاجُ
Rise—let us frighten cares away with a cup of wine;
the Pleiades crown the parting of night’s hair,
وَقَدِ اِنجَرَّتِ المَجَرَّةُ فيهِ
كَسَبيبٍ يَمُدُّهُ نَسّاجُ
and through it the Milky Way has trailed,
like a long strand drawn out by a weaver.
