1. في فِتنَةٍ أَخلاقُهُم وَفِعالُهُم

    عِرسٌ تَكامَلَ حُسنُها وَعَرائِسُ

    Their morals and deeds in turmoil

    A wedding whose beauty and brides are complete

  2. حَلَّ السُرورُ حُباهُمُ في مَجلِسٍ

    لِلمَجدِ وَالعَلياءِ فيهِ مَجالِسِ

    Joy has granted them its gifts in a gathering

    For glory and nobility, it has receptions

  3. فَهُمُ إِذا نَظَروا الصَديقَ كَواكِبٌ

    زُهرٌ وَإِن نَظَروا العَدُوَّ حَنادِسُ

    So whenever they look at a friend like stars

    Blossoms, and whenever they look at a foe like hawks

  4. أَو قيلَ تَلتَفُّ الجِيادُ بِمِثلِها

    فَهُمُ ضَراغِمُ وَالعُداةُ فَرائِسُ

    Or it's said war horses twist around the likes of them

    They are stallions and the enemies are mares

  5. فَاللَيلُ مِنهُم شامِسٌ وَالصُبحُ مِن

    هُم دامِسٌ وَالدَهرُ مِنهُم وارِسُ

    So the night because of them is bright and the dawn from

    Them is crushing and time because of them is guarding
