دارَ في الكَأسِ عَقيقٍ فَجَرى
واطِفُ الدُرِّ عَلَيهِ فَطَفَح
Carnelian swirled in the cup, then flowed;
pearls lay thick upon it, and it brimmed over.
نَصَبَ الساقي عَلى أَقداحِها
شَبَكَ الفِضَّةِ تَصطادُ الفَرَح
The cupbearer spread above the wine-cups
nets of silver to catch delight.
