1. Crowned with carnelian,

    and earringed with silver,

  2. upon him is a brocade tunic

    with both sleeves rolled up.

  3. His throat has been adorned by

    two, like two roses.

  4. Then, when morning appears,

    embroidered along both its edges,

  5. he cries out like one enraptured,

    clapping his two hands.

  6. He cries, making all among us hear

    whoever has two ears—

  7. resplendent in a collar and crown,

    as though he were Dhū Ruʿayn.
