1. For every affliction, relief is near—

    just as morning follows night.

  2. And every wholesome thing is subject to decay;

    likewise, every corrupted thing may be restored.

  3. The days have hands that reach forth,

    and spacious courtyards, broad and open.

  4. They may arrive with faces radiant,

    just as they arrive with faces grim.

  5. Every circumstance has its straitness and its ease,

    and this world its closing and opening.

  6. So do not despair at it; endure it patiently,

    for patience ends in success.

  7. And whenever misfortunes reach their utmost limit,

    available relief comes coupled with them.
