وَقَد نَقَّطنَ أَذقاناً

كَشَمّاماتِ كافورِ

And he dotted our chins

Like musk pods of camphor

وَقَد شَدَّت زَنانيراً

عَلى مِثلِ الزَنابيرِ

And he fastened necklaces

Like the necks of wasps
