كَم قَد مَنَحتُكَ حُبّاً

How much love I have bestowed upon you,

yet there is no recompense for it.

تَرى يَضُرُّكَ أَن لَو

يَكونَ مِنكَ وَفاءُ

يَكونَ مِنكَ وَفاءُ

Do you think it would harm you if

you showed some faithfulness?

لا تَبلِنا بِصُدودٍ

لا تَبلِنا بِصُدودٍ

إِنَّ الصُدودَ بَلاءُ

إِنَّ الصُدودَ بَلاءُ

Do not afflict us with rejection;

indeed, rejection is an affliction.

بَل ما لَنا مِنكَ بُدُّ

بَل ما لَنا مِنكَ بُدُّ

فَاِصنَع بِنا ما تَشاءُ

فَاِصنَع بِنا ما تَشاءُ

Yet we cannot do without you—

so do with us whatever you wish.
